High levels of stock are held in order to provide a one stop shop for our customers, custom display stands exhibit up to eight working computers at any one time with most printers and peripherals available for a working demonstration. Staff training is conducted on a regular basis to maximise this display and ensure customer confidence.

In 1998 we expanded our service to our customers by converting the shop next to the store into a seperate service department. With a quick repair service section at the front of the department and for the more complicated repairs we converted the rear into a fully equiped service centre. To service our new customers even quicker we have a seperate assemble line which give Standard Computers a more reliable product.

Standard Computers customer base covers the extent of the metropolitan area of Melbourne with emphasis on local heavy industry and Government departments. A breakdown of sales indicates that 55% of our business is derived from Industry, 30% Government and the remainder SOHO (Small Office Home Office).

Staffing levels include 5 full time sales staff, 2 accounts staff, 2 receptionists, 1 stores/dispatch, 5 casual staff and 7 technicians. All our sales staff specialise in particular areas such as corporate sales, government sales & the home/small business market. It is our policy to attend all available training courses where possible in order to keep up to date on technology trends and provide the benefit of our knowledge to our customer base.
